NPCs
During the course of the game the players encounter many npc's (non-player characters)- both malevolent and benign. Of course, in this world of espionage and intrigue, no one can be entirely sure about anyone. Trust no one. Suspect everyone. It goes without saying that some NPC's are not even human.
Agent A Cunningham
Related to the famous naval commander Admiral Andrew Cunningham. Was involved in a special operations unit of the BEF in the 1930’s, and possibly HOO). A major backstage player in the experiments that lead to the founding of the SOE. Cunningham discovered his expendibility when deserted by the SOE in the Project 7 fiasco. He remains linked to and respected by the SOE but he is wary of all organisations now and particularly cautious of Wraith. Will remain on good terms to the players that helped him in Little Berwick.
Archangel
Project 7 boss and anti-Wraith. Another tough nut.
Commander Denton Soames
Former Naval Intelligence now the secret founder of the SOE.
Dr Jack Chamberlain
Ex-Order, Ex-ministry. An expert in occult history and folklore now residing in Dorchester. He is reluctant to enter the field of investigation. Major expert.
Dr. Bliss
Top boffin at Project 7, Dr. Bliss heads the team working on the classified. While he and his fellow scientists have succeeded in miniaturising the device, they are still having a few teething problems. While very much a ministry man he is always concerned about the welfare of his "subjects". He is mild mannered though somewhat absent minded. Shame about the stutter, too...
Magi
Wraith recruitment officer. Unseen.
Mr White
His rank is unknown and irrelevant. His security classification is Ultra which means he is as high up as it gets. White is tough, frightening and unpredictable. He is involved in all organisations and probably pro-Wraith. One of the most powerful men the players will ever meet. The ultimate Man in black, inquisitor and iterrogator.
Pilgrim
Wraith liaison officer. Unseen but sometimes heard.
Professor Liebermann
The late top boffin at Project 7 and inventor of the infamous Liebermann Machine. Murdered by persons unknown during the Little Berwick fiasco.
