Spell Lists

Our spell system is still being developed and several new lists are being devised as we speak (theyve been at the devising stage for well over a year now. Ho hum). But anyway, here's what we've got so far.

The Conjuration and Binding of the Spirits
Allows the caster to talk to the recently deceased, the body must be present. 1MP

A ritual pentogram to be drawn around the body in the correct order. ritual inceases must be burned mixed with graveyard earth at the 5 points of the pentagram correct hand gestures must be made and caster must hold an object belonging to the deceased. The deceased's blood must be smeared on the palms of the caster.

A maximum of 3 questions may be asked at a cost of 1MP each.

Chant -
Alsi ku nushi ilani mushiti ("The dead rise and come to me!")
Ego sum te peto et uidere queo! (To dismiss the dead he commands)
Itti kunu alsi mushitum kallatum kattumtum
Alsi bararitum qablitum u namaritum

The Conjuration of the Mountains of MASHU
Protection from evil spirits 1MP

Requires salt and crushed bone.

User can either set a protective line across a doorway etc and will protect from evil spirtits/undead (1MP per 15mins).

Keep chanting at the line stays active Occult symbol draw above the line For 2mp per 15min, a user can create a circle of protection. A single salt/bone or chalk circle draw in a radius around the caster (must be done in one movement) Ritual incenses must be burned at the 5 points of the circle and the Chant/mantra upheald as long as the caster is within.

NB. If salt is combined with any material component of a specific creature (eg, werewolf blood) the circle or line may more effective against that creature or entity (at the referee's discretion).

The Dark right of Astaroth
Steal life - Works the same way as healing but takes a point of health from the target host. 2MP

Requires spell vocal and casters hand must touch the targets heart for at least 5 seconds. Can only drain level in points.

This does cause the target pain, and can lead to the death of the target if the caster keep contact long enough. SAN loss may also occur.

Chant - Astaroth, Ador, Cameso, Valluerituf Mareso, Lodir, Cadomir

Tibetan Spells

Forget
A minor confusion 1MP

Causes the target to forget what has just been said or the events of the past 10 seconds/level of caster. It does not negate the effects of temporary insanity. Range – 2’ per level of caster.

Recall
Negates Forget or allows target to remember something they have forgotten. 1MP

Very useful when a player genuinely forgets a vital piece of information.(Details as Forget.)

Resistance to Cold
The caster may endure low temperatures without ill effect. 1MP

Rhythmic breathing and visualisation of fire in the stomach.

1MP per 10 minutes

Spirit Walking
Allows the caster to walk on surfaces that would not normally support the caster's weight. 1MP

The yeti meat is eaten and the chanting must continue for the duration of the walk.

  • On slender beams, snow etc. Branches do not break and no footprints are left. 1MP per minute
  • On water – 2MP per minute.
  • On light – 3MP per minute.
ESP
Permits mind-reading insight. 2MP

(Ref or NPC reveals secret thoughts.) Range - within 10’ per level of caster. Chant – ‘Su rem tar mene tu mene ra rem su.’

Healing
The caster may heal wounds. 2MP

The chant 'Om mane padme hum' is repeated over and over. Hands placed on wound.

2MP per HP healed per 30 seconds

Stopping the Wheel
Stop the Karmic wheel of causality. 2MP

At lower levels simply calms people, removes anger and fear, etc. Higher levels can undo consequences of actions. Higher still allows limited time travel to re-do actions. Requires chanting and singing bowls. 2-6MP

TK
Allows movement of object under caster’s control. 2MP

(May not work on certain magical artefacts.) Item must be no more than 1 sq ft per level of caster and weigh no more than 10lbs per level of caster.

Create Illusion
Allows the user to create an illusion. 3MP

Requires chanting and singing bowl. Size and duration determined by level and MP usage. Average 3MP per 5 minute duration of illusion.

Cursing
The caster may curse other player or NPCs. 3MP

Part of the victim (nail clippings, hair, etc.) is placed on a mandala. This is then folded and burnt. The ashes are put in a bottle or box and buried where the victim will pass. Ritual takes up to half an hour. Effects vary from disease to damage.

Invisibilty
3MP per minute per level of caster 3MP

Requires drumming and chanting.

Bind demon
5-10MP 5MP

Requires mandalas, chanting, sword and singing bowl. Details to come.

Summon demon
6-15MP 6MP

Requires human sacrifice, chanting, sword and singing bowl. Details to come.

Divination
For predicting the future. 8MP

A shoulder blade of a lamb is stripped of meat and thrown into a fire. The resulting charring and cracks can predict the future.

Dream Questing
Allows astral projection, spirit communication, remote viewing etc. 10MP

Requires talisman. Caster sleeps within mandala. Duration at least 1 and a half hours.
